I watched in silent reverie as the leaves spun around midstream, revealing swirls of life before my eyes, a multitude in variegated disguise, sometimes truth, sometimes lies. And in reaching out to grasp them I became obsessed with those I saw reflecting truth; or were they...in disguise? And holding them closely was no guarantee that what I thought I saw is the truth of what I did see. So, does that make me an icon of naïvety? Or perhaps merely a poetic dreamer? |
