I never knew what lonely was, Till after meeting you. I never knew a cloudless sky, With such a leaden hue. I never shed the bitter tears, That I am shedding now... I'd cancel all these feelings, dear- If only I knew how. I'm reaping what I sowed so long, The harvest's coming due. Too long I've dealt in falsehoods- Now they all are coming true. I left some women crying, When I followed rodeo. Not knowing I was lying- Till I'd load my truck and go. "I love you's" came so easy- When life was just a game. Now I'm on the receiving end- And that's a crying shame. I'm too old now for riding- And a bit too young to die... And I can't live without you, But I guess I'll have to try. |

I love this one. You write the saddest songs I've ever read. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |
