When it’s no longer the one
You’re looking for
Anyone at all
So long
As they’re presentable
Will do

The music is soft or loud
Depending on the room
Lounge or bar
You’re sitting in

Talk grinds down
To a ceremonial monotone
The premium on being comical
Where nothing of value is said

It’s not hard
To be a hero or witty femme fatale
For an hour or two
Especially in a crowd so easily served

The lights are low
For no one sees or cares to see reality
As if one ever did

Yes, it's easier to escape from reality than to cope with it. It's an everyday life lesson.

Thank you.

Love,
