Flicker of light
Beckons me to the heat
touch of rhythmic beating
Engulfed by a flame
That licks it’s way into my pores
My life
Until it consumes
Even the smallest parts of me

Allowing me to know
You as myself
To feel what you feel
To be who you are
Who you were
Who you will be

Teaching me
The raw of you
Bleeding for you in times
Of need
Smooth of you
When you bleed for me
Swallowing me with whispers
Of pure unadulterated
Love of a friend

Whew! Now that's what I'd call a loving friendship! So passionately pure! I felt suffused with the loving warmth of your words.

A friendship like yours is worth more than all the gold in the world.

Linda

WHOOHOOO!!!  Can you bring him back again Susan?

You sure know how to get his attention!

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

There is a subtle change in your style that I'm enjoying so much.

My favorite verse here is the first:

"Flicker of light
Beckons me to the heat
touch of rhythmic beating
Engulfed by a flame
That licks it’s way into my pores
My life
Until it consumes
Even the smallest parts of me"

I don't have to tell you how overdone the candle and flame thing is, and yet you not only used it, you made it fresh.

Like really looking at it for the first time.

Brava, sweet friend! And Duncan? Shaddup and write something, will ya? fk

Icey?

A veces, nosotros llevamos la misma piel.

(the spanish was never something I was good at so it may be a bit...well, miscombobalated)...

Thank you all for the time you gave to read and respond...
