Heart Beat

In the utter of impart
I heard the flutter of my heart
Beating ire of desire
A dragon spewing fire

Seeking in each draining power
Essence of its living hour
Gulping in each seethe of air
To breathe the fire of its dare

Each beat draws in a tighter skin
Drawing on the will within
Echoing the walled abyss
Searching out each tell tale kiss

Like hands that stretch before the blind
Seeking out a touch to find
The promise of a gardens space
The harbor of forever’s grace

It’s when naïve can chart believe
That part of art, can have its Eve

Seymour, I don't know how you do it, but it seems that each poem you channel is better than the last! This one really resonates with me -- especially the stanza before the ending couplet... Awesome imagery! A wholesome, healthy, and jovial New Year to you, my friend.
