Sunny, warm, flat stones
yield nothing to wading feet
looking for repose.

In my own experience, sunny, warm and flat stones are one of the greatest pleasures for bare feet ...

Even though I am not quite sure what "wadding feet" are, I enjoyed this very much, dear Jo, ... I gave it my own interpretation.

Love and hugs.

Good morning, lily jo!

Sunny, warm, flat stones
yield nothing to wadding (wading?)feet
looking for repose.

~ Hmmm, I'm a bit confused. I would think that wading feet would find "sunny, warm, flat stones" to be rather inviting.

I enjoyed the sensations and the visuals of this lovely haiku.

Have a glorious day!

Loveya!

This reminded me of all the photos Janet Marie takes on her river walks and that is a very good thing!  Lovely.

I remember those stones.  They remain, while restless feet try to stay above water.

Needed shade seems far away,
On the far bank, a willow.

Inspired, I just had to add this,...although what you wrote is certainly beautiful and stands very well on its own...

It is wonderful, how images appear when one reads anothers soul through their poetry... especially when the image appears in a compact, beautiful poem.

enjoyed

I never felt that good without taking my shoes off! Excellent write.
