I poured out my heart Telling you of my love, My adoration, My need of you, forever But you didn't feel the same You cared not if I left or if I stayed So I left you yesterday Now I fight with myself I want to plead for you to take me back But my pride won't let me leave this track Knowing I can't stay if your love I lack But how I want to go back Take back those foolish words And not know if my love was returned Maybe if I had waited eventually for me you would've yearned. But I left and now I am inconsolable Because I have you no longer |

Take back those foolish words And not know if my love was returned Maybe if I had waited eventually for me you would've yearned. perhaps this person returned your love in the only way they were able, or knew how, as it is when our expectations are dissappointed we deem situations to fail, when indeed we set all else up to fail by expectation...? I dunno...relationships are tough...???? thought provoking poem |

When the desire to stay in a relationship is not shared, it does something to a willing heart...it is a slow process...requiring patience and wisdom....depart when you are sure that you can no longer stay and pretend...James |
