Reset my reality
Which has slowly been
Covered by my fantasy
Of hopes and possible sin.
It’s destruction of me
To a lesser degree
As I start to believe
In possibility;
And so then I receive
(in a lesser degree)
What a murderer should
For society’s greater good.

I’ve killed myself you see
With hopes of improvement
Lost in a quaint fantasy
Where I might find contentment
Beyond to shores of reality,
But I have crashed on rocky coast
And fallen in hostile hands
That are actually friendly to most
Who live in this real land;
It’s a bit of destruction
To allow reconstruction.

Break down the old walls
Crush the smallest piece of stone
And I’ll have no hallowed halls
No hiding, no refuge, no home,
It’s only a momentary pain
Where the fantasy is shed
As they roughly touch my brain
And casually reset my head.

The flowers blooming in lavender spread
Beneath a crystal blue sky of late spring
A warm flowing stream where shoes are shed
As I can listen to the song birds gently sing;
Now zapped away
Walls in halls of tiled floors of beige and brown
Where stethoscopes do now reign supreme
With echoed rubber foot falls squeaking sound,
Now reality has replaced my distorted dream.

Gloom

Always believe in possibility ...

Do we know what is REAL?

Keep the lavender fields in mind and you will zap away the hospital scene ...

Very melancholic, touching write.

What is now holds possibilities ...

Love,
Margherita

Oh Gloom....there will be no "zapping" this New Year. Stay in the moment and let spring reign supreme! hugs, Chris   p.s. you kinda scared me with parts of this.

I was thinking about you not more than a couple days ago...wondering where you were.

and then I get this...

and this is, hands down, my Gloomy favorite.

Professor,
Gloom is but a flowers bloom.
Why not smell a rose instead.
Beautiful write.

Well I have to say this is going to be my favorite of yours and it is so sad it is.  I read a lot of change in this one, and resistance to it.  Better go hug that cat Sir.

Well...you would not be Prof. Gloom if you didn't offer up some gloom and today was a heaping plate full.

Carpe' Diem

Thank You, Margherita,
What is reality?  Is it what you see and hear, or perhaps what you feel,
What boarders does reality cross to give life fear, might it be the loss of fantasy?  Your words are supportive and welcome to this tattered soul.

Thank you, Nightshade,
Spring will come in its time, perhaps with a shock of beauty.

Thank you, Illiana,
The Dark of the year is my brightness, I appreciate the offer and e-mails are always welcome.

Thank you, tracie66,
For the kind words

Thank you, playing.with.crayons,
For taking the time to read and respond.

Thank you, Susan,
I’m always out here somewhere
Roaming the darkness of the soul.

Thank you, Seymour,
In the time of flowers bloom
I’ll take them into my room,
Perchance to lighten the gloom.

Thank you, Mysteria,
The furry demon is not fond of hugs, but will sit for hours on a lap
And accept petting ( if done properly )
Your words are kind and warm, just as their writer.

Gloom
