Just needed to write something before I trudge off to work. and I know I’ve taken too long trying to wash away the sins of never letting go. But I can feel you slipping as unstoppably as the water running down my back. Such a futile attack I make against the flow of time for it never seems to let me hold on to what is mine. Steam covers the mirror but I’m glad because I don’t want to see the emptiness forming in my eyes as the end is drawing nearer. Just this once won’t you try to be the one who doesn’t have to leave? Just this once won’t you try to be the one who doesn’t make me grieve? I love you But I love you enough to know that love isn’t all it takes to keep a relationship alive. Romance needs so much more in order to survive. Water and tears run together as brothers to the sea I’m asking you to hold fast and not let go of whatever it is that made you fall for me. I just want this to last because I can’t face the day if you aren’t waiting at the end and I can’t chase the wind if it doesn’t lead your way. Thanks for reading. |

Oh this is so sad. Begging one to hold on to what it was that brought them to you in the first place. Don't loose sight. I can relate to this well these days. |

Poems that flow from the heart have a tendency to flow on the page as well. ~ and you managed to do just that in the moments before you rushed off to work! The most memorable lines (out of several!) for me are the following: "Water and tears run together as brothers to the sea" ~ very 'poetical'! EA |

Thank you all so very much. It seems like when I write in a hurry and don't worry so much about the words as how I feel, I create my best or most effective work. I'm glad you enjoyed. |
