(I don't think I've posted this one yet..I checked and didn't find it anywhere...  )Daddy’s Joy nestles in my arms giving-in to dreams… A happy little firefly she opens her eyes once more and smiles at me behind her thumb-- Her found pacifier A little giggle, then off to sleep… In her eyes I find her Daddy’s glee His uncontrollable, leaping heart His unconditional love for this little fire Looking in her eyes, I find I love him even more! She’s off now, to dreamland As I lay her in her bed, cover her up and pet her little head I kiss her and watch her sleep…just for now… It won’t be long before she’ll be sitting up or standing at her bed-rail calling “Mama”… But for now, I enjoy her smile her laughter And her Daddy’s Joy reflected in her eyes… Our little Ember Our little firefly Her Daddy’s Joy… dgvarner 112005 |
