MYSELF AND I Walked down this winding lane Maybe a little to the side But safely close and sane It was kinda fine I had myself And me was mine Alone, but together still Oh, it was mighty fine Lively young, with time to kill Then came the day with damage done I turned in reassurance And myself was gone Somewhere down the trodden lane I had lost myself Bewildered by the fog and rain Myself I could not find Alone and lonesome In a forrest all but kind Myself was nowhere to be seen Nor could I realize When it could have been Myself had went astray And for ignorance A (desperate) lonely prize I pay |

Interesting write. I lost myself once. The good thing about it is, you're never ever really far away from yourself. |

I feel this way sometimes, but always find myself. Very good writing. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Ethel |

That can be such a cold road to walk, when losing sight of ones self |
