Today I woke up
and finally realized
The things that I've been missing
through out this short lived life

All I wanted was someone
Who could be a friend to me
Who'd take a chance with what we'd have
to be all we could be

To live our days as one
entrusting each others touch
to paint the world any color we chose
and build a lasting love

A lasting love
just between you and me
A lasting love
For all the world to see
Now I don't know how it started
And I don't want it to end
A lasting love just me and you
Me and You, till the end

So today I'm saying
What I've had going thru my mind
I'm ready to take a chance
and jump right in the fire

I truly believe in
Everything that you are
I feel it deep in my heart
I know your a shining star

A lasting love
Just between you and me
A lasting love
For all the world to see
Now I don't know how it started
And I don't want it to end
