It's six O'clock in the morning
first night alone's slipped away
the curtains on this open window
flutter as light breeze's play
and I stare out at the lonely street
gazing through the misty rain
sittin here thinkin bout why we
said good-bye yesterday.

Chorus:
we got Wrapped up in each other
searching for that one true love
but we ended up like strangers
lying in each others arms
we thought we shared the feelings
lovers share deep in their soul
but we were innocent believers
in dreams we'd never know

In two more hours I leave this room
to drift into the working day
and know I'll see you round sometime
but things'll never be the same
Still I wish I could hold you now
one more time to ease this pain
cause this emptiness I must confess
has filled my heart again.

Chorus:
we got Wrapped up in each other
searching for that one true love
but we ended up like strangers
lying in each others arms
we thought we shared the feelings
lovers share deep in their soul
but we were innocent believers
in dreams we'd never know

Eric,  I hereby add my two cents worth to this chorus of admirers...what sad but very nice lyrics!
