(What do you do when you get a melody stuck in your head, but have brain freeze and can't remember all the words?  Do you make up your own lyrics? I can't believe I forgot the words to Kodachrome!)

               Phonohomes

When I think back on all the wrap I burned in hi school
It's a wonder I can rap at all
And though my pack of education hasn't burnt me none
I can reed the righting on the wall

Homophones
They give us those spiced write colors
They give the sticky gummers
Makes you wink all the world’s a sonny day, owe yeah
I got a word a’rambler
I love to take a phonahome
So mama don’t steak my homophone a weigh.

If you booked all the words I new when I was single
And taught them all twogether for won knight
I no they’d ever catch my treat imagination
Everything looks cursive in black and white.

Mama don’t take my homophones away
Mama don’t take my phonohome away
Mama don’t take my homophones away

Mama don't take my homophones
Mama don't take my homophones
Mama don't take my phonohomes

Mama don't take my homophones
Leave your joy sew far from Roam
Mama don't take my homophones away

Mama don't take my homophones
Uhm uhm!
Mama don't take my homophones away
Oh, Kay!

Ah, the enjoyable entanglement that is the enviable ennui of the English language. Or something.

Lovely confusing little song, this is.

"The moon ain't romantic, it's intimidating as hell". -- Tom Waits, 'Bad Liver and a Broken Heart'

Lee, sure makes me feel better that others do it, too!

suthern,

Too funny!  May I suggest..."Not the spanking!  Not the spanking!"  The applause will do just fine!

BTW, where have you been lately?  I haven't been around as much lately, but I haven't seen your poetry when I have.  Miss you, suthern!  I'm sending lots of wishes for a great 2006.
Take care,

miscellanea
