Print-Out
To DF
30 June 2005

Ocean-far,
I watch the sun
soften your smile
and lift it upwards,
secure and sweet.
I see your shoulders free
against the blue sky
and your hands quiet
like a butterfly on a stone.

I am so glad
that you
let me
be
your solemn solace.

You have seen such depths....and that line, of quietness like a butterfly on a stone...if I can figure out where I parked my time machine last time, I'm gonna go back and write it first!

Such beauty in these words.

Thanks, RatLeader and Enchantress.  I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Giggles, Ratleader at your time machine!  May I have a ride in it too?  As long as I can get back again!  I'd hate to lose any of my precious 60 years.

Well, one should only ride in those things while sober -- or at least write down what decade you parked it in....it's a pain to have to go searching all over town for it!

Thanks Kristabell and Goth_chick.  Glad you liked it.

Ratleader, I am always sober (except for once in 1968), and if you're driving, I sure won't go unless you are driving sober!  I'd say, also, it's sorta important to know what decade you parked in!
