Dear dad, It’s that time again I wish you were here Making me laugh But you’re not You’re in heaven I miss you I hate cancer It sucks It took you away And now you’re never coming back Every day I want you back I cry because you’re not here Can you hear me cry? I miss you so much Merry Christmas where ever you are Love, Minna December 12, 2005 Live life like you are going to die tomorrow |

Short. Simple. Raw. No frilly words, no organized rhyme or meter. Just pure emotion that seems to carry you over. |

this time of year does bring out the memories and the longing for family or loved ones. thats why time is precious and love is special. enjoy what and when you can so memories of love and happiness fill the hole of emptyness. and one can smile and know they are there are always there My spirit will rise |

That was touching, and it was right to the point. The message is clear, and it really relates to most of us. 'Cause things can never really be so simple... Nice job! |

Minna, welcome to Passions. Your poem is filled with heartfelt passion, an element that is sometimes missing in poetry posts which use flowery words to convey what you did so well with some simple but powerful straight-to-the-heart phrases. |

Welcome to Passions. It is a good place to share and express your grief. Done lots of that myself. I am sorry for your loss. Write a bunch more and I'll read. |
