I'm holding on,
barely
but I'm here.

I'm gonna fall,
fall back down there.
It's just too cold,
for me up here.

I can hear them calling,
promising,
me everything.

I'd walk away.
if I felt anything.
They'll strengthen me,
cause I'm enfeebled.
They'll bring me back
to sanity.

Fall away
I must fall away.

I've surrendered to the,
tranquility.
It's what I need,
And it's close to me.

Desire is,
everything that they can give.
Don't want to chose
to live, I'll fall down.
It's what I need,
to be freed,
Don't insult me here.
Just let me be,
alone and dismal.
I've surrendered here
alive and humble.

I'm tired too, but death is not on my guest list...

That one has been no friend to me, and if it wants me, it will have to fight me.

I do understand a desire for rest tho.

But I, for one, will go "out" in the manner I came in--kicking and screaming.

Made me think--so thank ye.

oh, the humble arms
of tiredness...

the weary thought of this,
my mind...

what befalls all
tomorrows...

is left to question,
so, unwind....

~*~

You made me think, too....

and that is the sign
of a good poet.

Write on!

and make us think
even more.

Thanks, I'm glad I made you think.  Although death is on my wishlist at times, I am still breathing and awaiting to see the light.
