I never regret the time
we had that was uneven
like the roads of ebron
when the monsoons wash them
and they are ragged hems
at the edge of a pale summer

we were worshipers there
pilgrims on journey boats
with the long oar prayers
dipping smooth psalms deep
into a worthy religion
without a sacrificial symbol

on either side of perfection
and our sin was small talk
that kept love smothered
but there was healing too
by the forgiven gallons
on every corner of our moments

free for the taking
and we bathed our fill
even til dawn some evenings
we were the silver swans
that sunsets whispered of
we made furrows in the pools

that were healed by our laughter

DS

"on either side of perfection
and our sin was small talk
that kept love smothered
but there was healing too
by the forgiven gallons
on every corner of our moments"

and

"healed by our laughter"

Wonderful, you!

Every word of this is like a drop of water caught in the light of the moon.

My favourite parts are:

"and they are ragged hems
at the edge of a pale summer"

and

"dipping smooth psalms"

and

"we were the silver swans
that sunsets whispered of
we made furrows in the pools

that were healed by our laughter"

If you hadn't travelled the roads of ebron, we wouldn't have had this moon-drop poem.

on either side of perfection
and our sin was small talk
that kept love smothered
but there was healing too
by the forgiven gallons
on every corner of our moments

and we silently mouthed love words
to the saint stained sky
crossing some imagry line
staggering like elegant innocence
in a neatly encased sleeve of
roused Cheshire eyes
blooming amdist the language of
heaven...scribed into blameless hereafter

OHHHH, now look what you've inspired
you write without compromise...knowing
the confidential friend of eternity's drawing room.
