For just a moment
yesterday creeps into
unwanted memories
that would be better off left lying
among the crevices of mere thought
where those moments of time could be caught
and sent to drift away on endless waves
of perpetual motion;

where feelings left reeling
on tides of emotion
could continue floating
endlessly

and make their escape
out to the sea
to be blended with the voices of
millions of others,

who bathe in the pain
of our sisters and brothers

unto a place

where sweet release
is found

until finally are heard
the beautiful sounds

of peace.

live for today,
dream of the future,
and learn eternal truths from the past..

Would be wonderful to be able to
send our unwanted thoughts
out to sea to drift forevermore.
Love the way you ramble Donna.

Donna

I'll bet peace, if it could be heard, would sound like many poet's voices, including yours reading this beautiful poem.

Rambles...

look good on you.

In fact...

they feel like silk.

Rambling? I know this is too beautiful to be rambling.

....to be blended with the voices of
millions of others,

who bathe in the pain
of our sisters and brothers

unto a place

where sweet release
is found........

SO beautiful.

keeping this.

*smiling here*
Usually, unless I am trying to do a certain form of poetry, I pretty much always consider everything else to just be a ramble of thought that ended up in this lil confused mind of mind

but, when I post it and somebody can identify with it, I am so pleased
because it lets me know that we  poets
are truly universal in spirit..

if I were to be able to have one wish this year for the coming holiday, it would be
for peace....

for everybody, everywhere.

Thank you, all.
