Whispering Wind
Unforgiven Sin

Westward winds leading my soul
Unknowing of where I go
Stinging bitterly dust and sand
Weakening the strongest of man

I wish to be watered
But in turn receive nothing
I would rather be slaughtered
But I keep on moving

Blacked cloak heavy and haggard
Making me feel more laggard
Tanned skin dry and cracked
Only if I hadn't slacked

Where will I ever go
There's nothing else I know
Dried chapped eyes swollen shut
Legs ashy and deeply cut

My lord please help me
Or death it could be
My body is slowly dying
With my soul loudly crying

The sand is like mud
Like a wat’ry dark flood
Falling briskly to my knees
Ingulfed am I in thee

Pleading for life of ease
Praying to God, take me
Please free me of this mercyless pain
For their isn't any room to contain

I guess that's the trick to staying alive, just one step at a time. It sounds like life has been hard for you...you've made the agony very clear in this poem. I wish you the best. Welcome to Pip!!
