A lonely world now awaits me filled with not a soul Fore hatred has taken, its most tragic toll And passion has grown cold within me A lover I’m not to be, I’m confused and lost Surrounded and everything looks far and vast like the sea. Is there no hope, not the tiniest of sparks For a man who has loved and only received a broken heart Is there nothing left? Nothing to help guide me along my way I fear not so I walk blindly further into darkness by the day Shall I ever see light again?, or shall I remain trapped within this maze Has light already became a myth? Am I destine to never be saved? Shall I remain a lost soul, continually searching but for what I have no clue. Or am I to become what I always feared? And become a darker portrait of you. I'm a dying romantic and when i can no longer write i can no longer live -Jeremiah Johnson- |

This is quite good Jeremiah. Enjoyed. Chris Poetry is an echo, asking a shadow to dance. |

What a poignant but beautiful write! And your ending was perfect for the tone of this poem. Reflections are interesting though, for they never allow you to see the full 3D reality. |

Jeremiah I enjoyed reading your questioning poem. I found my answers to the same questions by just living day to day. I have a feeling this will be true for you, also. Welcome to Passions by the way...this is the first post of yours that I've read. |
