Spiralling phantasms laying waste to today Causing our thread of humanity to fray Boring below the surface for the life blood Destroying villages like a scud Eyes covered with a gloss Our best intentions have been overgrown with moss Wallowing in pits of destruction When we should be looking for our own resurrection Tempered steel that is our hearts does not falter We said our I dos at the altar Never realizing the skeleton was under that veil Another stud in our coffins we do nail Our children dangling from the power lines While we are entangled in those crude vines New frontiers the young wish to explore Yet we seem to choose the dinosaur Our survival seems rooted with the dead Nestled comfortably in our spike bed Craters covering our very being A harsh environment is what I am foreseeing The things we say Always seem to be some tired cliche I wish I could say I was not the same It would be nothing more then a lie that I would proclaim The day we tried to live Was the day we decided to misgive? It all comes crumbling down All of us and our jet black crown Our perfect dreams Are halted by lifeless screams Becoming toxic nightmares As we were too scared to metal in world affairs Leaving us with horrid visions It is time too make much needed decisions Before we loose our great meadowlands Causing our children to play in chemical wastelands Tomorrow comes for those who fear it. |

I like it Poe but I think the dinosaur has been chosen for us by the big oil companies. They spent a large part of their record profits to suppress the development of alternative fuel. Check out this company and what they are doing. www.changingworldtech.com |

I am glad to see this poem helped keep the wheels a turning. To tru Bodger. Go ahead Midnitesun they are meant to be kept. You are welcome. Yes StevenS in the current state of affairs the dinosayr has us by the throats, yet we should have learned the lessons in the 70's yet we chose to ignore it. Tomorrow comes for those who fear it. |
