Unable to pull the pen across the pad
My words locked inside my mind fermenting
The act of expressing my emotions has vanished
Has my gift come to pass like some common fad?
Half finished sentences stare back tormenting
Has the devil with a halo been banished?
Finished before I have begun
My words have been immortalized
Yet was my soul truly worth this
My words have been disbanded like the shogun
The ink well that is my mind has been sterilized
Feeling like a ringmaster with out a circus
Writing out of confusion
Not from the inferno that resides inside
Like a mime I have no words to convey
Was my ability a lucid delusion?
On this path I have come to the divide
I have chosen the one where few stray
The pen begins to stutter across the line
Is this what they call writers block
Or could it be something deeper
Is it time to be the 7-11 and hang the closed sign
Stuck between that hard place and the rock
Have I truly met the artistic reaper?

Tomorrow comes for those who fear it.
Today never ends for those who live it.

Have I truly met the artistic reaper?

I think not.
My muse has been missing for quite some time now. Yours seems to be present and in fine form ! hugs, Chris

Poetry is an echo, asking a shadow to dance.

Thank you, Nightshade. I hope you are right.
I am sure that your muse is hidden not missing, may I suggest finding a busy intersection planting yourself down and feeling the energy that transpires.

Tomorrow comes for those who fear it.
Today never ends for those who live it.

Poe~

'words locked inside my mind fermenting'

Oh boy ... can't wait for the uncorking of the new word-brew~

I'd dare to say that both you AND Chris have many a muse yet to whisper to you~
