You, My Friend

I am sorry, if I upset you
It truly wasn’t my intention
I write about, how I feel
Sometimes, I write about
What I might see
I’m not much on make believe
If I were, I could conjure up
Some fantastic fantasy
All I know is reality
I have known a lot of pain
All through my life
I have felt tremendous fear
When I was very young
I have envied those
Who looked so happy
Couldn’t understand
How they could have
Such a gleam in their eyes
I get my strength from friends
Without them I wouldn’t be
Where I am today
I stay away from those
Who bring me down
You, my friend are the one
Who has always given me
The hope I have inside
Always encouraging me
To keep on trying
I thank you
For all you’ve done
And still do

There are those
who sit, and pose,
and write a fancy
'neath a tree...
and there are those,
who would dispose
of every so called
imagined reality...

what it is,
to learn so well,
truth from all
the fiction...
is to imagine
such a place
that there'd be
no hellish friction...

I love it
when you step outside yourself!
You give so much...

and you remind us all
that individualism counts
in so many ways!!!

Sue...to have such a friend means you are a friend to them in return...

You are deserving of happiness and I believe you will see it and feel it and know it.
