My Eyelids My eyelid blankets me at night A magic carpet to new sight It takes me the metaphor door That opens to forevermore Its here I dwell among the stars And visit places much too far Do all the things I cannot do And bring this magic all to you I climb the mountains of my seem Build the castles of my dream Pick the flowers of my field To feed you breakfast on this yield An argosy of ecstasy A phantom picking fantasy To weave for you a ring of wile Sprinkling rose petals on the Isle It is the ring I offer thee It comes from in the heart of me |
