Attended a class in which a study was shown that concluded that only about seven percent of all communication occurs by virtue of the words that are actually said the majority derived from tone and the way the body does or doesn’t move It struck me that those whose faces voices reflect not just now but where they’ve been done seen are at something of a disadvantage That those who are marred by time as well have little if any chance at all of being understood So I wonder why bother then To talk at all Perhaps it’s best to be a tree A maple, willow, the silent oak not doing much except to breathe Let others who have nothing better to do decide for themselves who you really are Listen to the wind instead of you as you know they always will [This message has been edited by Balladeer (10-23-2005 01:58 PM).] |

John~ 'only about seven percent of all communication occurs by virtue of the words that are actually said' Which reminds me of exactly why I prefer to read~ Love your take on trees .... reminds me of why my Cherokee Ancestors developed the "talking leaves"~ I liked this~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*No matter what I search for ... |

nodding exactly my frustration on internet communication... and it's also why I sat completely still in the shrink's office. Much enjoyed. |

I like this very much... especially the ending... so true! |
