Flawless You are called “The Eleventh Wonder of Tears” For beauty has never been as golden, And never purer then all the sun’s glory; Light has never been so sweet to kiss And forever it seems you will remain, Even to the dismay of perfection… Flawless… I once dreamed an old dream, Of winter’s jealousy to night’s decline And felt the cold of lonely hearts Before your smile awakened the day’s yawn; A gift you must be to the world Through the sparkle of your diamond eyes-- Rare and passionate are their glare, Not so different than the soul of a good woman, Flawless… Now, you have invaded my reality and seduced me--- Time over time, transcending your passions Into the thoughts and hopes of this imperfect man; A man who cries because admiration cannot be possessed… If only beauty could last for more than one night, Even as twilight stars begin to fade, Then truly would be the happiness in a heart And still, to the dreamer She will remain… Flawless… Marcel |

this is quite beautiful, and left me pondering and wondering about the eleventh wonder of tears reference, the significance? perhaps, my lack of religious/biblical knowledge leaves me ignorant? is there a religious or spiritual significence to this? I think its a beautiful write, whatever its meaning. |
