Once I cried
when someone died
but that was lives ago
a different time
a distant time
someone I used to know
it was if
a rug was shaken
and from its fibers slung
upon the winds
its very soul
to parts unknown
forsaken
now
I know not
of who he was
his
memory forgotten
all I know
is long ago
in a different time
a distant time
once
he
I was begotten.
