Merely something of writing, it is fiction As a drop of blood from a rose Trickling down a finger blended to a stem The ground would rise To touch and kiss the mix To rise and touch a Sun That one has met And the other awaits Every morning Bodger Background to it It was a nod to a blind horse on that evening when nothing else mattered nor any fits of possession mattered in your mind It was a going back to those who knew how it would be sorted There wasn't a feeling because for someone who centred life found life wasn't centred No matter how you walked there was no talking It wasn't there anymore The comfort of people you hadn't seen in years in 'not needing to say anything' was there but how could the comfort you Something would happen, somewhere and someone would one day Ask a favour But that would never be enough The wait would be a greater pain |

Thanks for words Much appreciated Something at the back of my mind started it In the Philipines they have a saying 'a poor man goes to jail, a rich man goes to America' That started the tangled mess that eventually led to the background and then the words Bodger |

Bodger "Something would happen, somewhere and someone would one day Ask a favour But that would never be enough The wait would be a greater pain" I was touched by this. |

Martie It came from a long time ago, when the Royal Navy and I didn't get on. The Manila statement is true. Opening my mouth to an Officer and saying what I felt, wasn't a good idea and it is a long time ago and forgotten but it got me 14 days in a cell and 3 months behind high walls in Portsmouth after that. I tried to use that and the feeling and the frustration that behind a steel door with a narrow window and mindless routine you feel things very keenly. The only problem for me, that I would still say the same thing, even now - 30 years later. Bodger |
