I look and there is work to do But really that is nothing new For though I might work day and night There’s more and more that I do sight The grass has grown as so the weeds I tire and I too have my needs The backyard that once looked a sight Will take a week to get it right The driveway’s washed away with rain Each chore’s becoming just a pain Because there’s work and things to do I see no change and nothing new The shed’s becoming quite a mess Why? I’m sure that you can guess Because there’s work and things to do The chores just breed and others grew I think of these things when in bed And know that even when I’m dead There’ll be more chores of need to do By others, just like me and you So there might just be one or two That I can tend and maybe do Although the thanks will not appear I’m going now to get the gear |

Breeding chores? I wondered where all those little booger's came from. I think my wife must be feeding em. I enjoyed. |

Hi, Rick! I know that feeling of being overwhelmed by all the chores that need to be done! I'm a list maker and I feel the burdens lift from my shoulders when I check off even the simplest and most menial of tasks. Now, if you and I were to win a lottery, we could hire others to do the work for us so we can get on with the important things in our life! lol As per usual, I enjoyed reading your thoughts! Lovin' hugs, Linda |
