A Vision In White A vision in white walks the lonely beach unaware of distant eyes she’s captured Across ocean waves that seem out of reach he stands tall on wooden deck enraptured With a spyglass clutched tightly in his hand he gazes at her form bathed in moonlight While naked feet sink into golden sand not knowing what will come to her this night Feeling gentle breeze mold silk to her skin she lifts her head and smiles at the full moon He can’t wait longer for this prize to win knowing with sureness in his arms she’ll swoon A pirate as he can never know love through it’s a desire in his secret heart Maybe innocence grants grace from above as gentler waters he’s willing to chart She starts when she hears approach from behind and with tender eyes examines his face Her hair flows over his fingers entwined as he takes her in loving a embrace He whispers gently I’m now home for good my days on a ship have come to an end The time I’ve left I’ll live in elfinwood with the Queen of fairies my lady friend Karen Mc Neil-Tomayer |
