Watching as You pack your things Telephone That never rings A silence falls Crawling underneath my skin Sticks and stones And shadows fly Slam the door Don't say goodbye A lonliness that lives within Now I find I'm Standing still My hands untied My world unreal And I with nothing More to feel Would say to you Humanize me Realize me Don't look away Patronize me Hypnotize me Follow me as I run crying Farther and farther away From this empty room Where I once loved you Held your gaze Became part of you You'll be back someday Angry words I hear you say Long ago But still they lay Upon my heart As lethal as you spoke them Tender lies Oh so well said Memories Float through my head All broken now And no one to provoke them Now I find I'm letting go A stronger me You'd never know And you with nothing More to throw Would find a way Humanize me Realize me Don't walk away Patronize me Hypnotize me Follow me as I run screaming Farther and farther away From this empty room Where I once loved you Say goodnight Now rise above you I'll be back someday I already know you can't fade I'm not your type, |
