If you didn't stand
through all these months
in your cast of ice,
and wear those heavy boots
sunken deep below
the muddy trenches,
where even the bravest fear,
i'd never hear the robin
ringing in
the growing season,
vis a vis,
the faith that sprouts
upon your wintry weary extensions.

Michele,

this made me feel as if you are grateful for a necessary unpleasantness . . . whether it be self or another, it allowed you to see further in . . .

I love the way you honor
the magnificent trees
and such
that shelter life
year after year
thank you, for this
even it's iciness is warming

Methinks ye be a tree of true grit! You endure the trials and tribulations of inclement weather and come out smelling like a rose ~ or singing like a robin, Dear
Goddess of Nature!
