Sands fall upon the heaviness of one’s heart as waters flow the meandering stream of wisdom. Washing thoughts from the grasp of fingers, swirling into nothingness...gone If love were but a butterfly, so delicate and fine, would love be found within the grasp of a weathered hand? If love were but the vase falling into shards, could pieces again be molded into the passion once endured and felt? From the sands ebb an echo is born as a sigh is given flight into the cold hard stones, stroked lightly by a moment of exclamation.... Felt longingly by the pause of one beat amongst the reeds of life where waters dwell and dry into the earth....gracefully lost as is the touch of softness upon a waking brow. Melancholy at it's finest, for you paint the heart in beats upon the page. TD |

Would we have such a beautiful work of art if we didn't have heaviness of heart? Thank you for the meander through the mists, Magnus. - Owl |

"If love were but a butterfly, so delicate and fine, would love be found within the grasp of a weathered hand?" It is usually the weathered hand that knows best how to be gentle.. wonderful Barry! "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |

Barry "If love were but a butterfly, so delicate and fine, would love be found within the grasp of a weathered hand?" Oh yes, it would be found there and anywhere. Loved your poem, my friend! |

Quite nicely done, Magnus. Excellent metaphor and imagery. CB 8) "Only the dead, have seen the end of war." |
