Another day has come To put on the badge and gun To stand proud and tall To prevail over all Another bad guy off the streets Fighting crime in the summer heat Trying to keep the city safe Through all the pains and aches A baby cries long into the night The mother doesn’t treat her right Put the mother behind bars Hoping now the child will go far Years and years down the road As the child has grown old She looks up to you Knowing what she wants to do Finally her day has come To put on her badge and gun For her to stand proud and tall Her day to prevail over all |

A very uplifting poem. Sounds like the victim prevailed in the end and the story ends with a happy ending. Justice is served in all situations eventually. Great write. Sheri Jesus lives in my heart! He can in yours too!!! |
