Patience a virtue? Really? Never enough time Slowly waiting, time is frozen When will she tell him it’s too late Consenting adults, knowing the risks I knew better, so did she Passion and lust overwhelmed us A quagmire of sorts She begs, the time will Destroy or heal The choice remains Make a move In love again? Afraid once more Open up and trust Anticipation of a broken heart Deja vu all over again Sneaking and white lies Co conspirator Or a willing party to overthrow? I find myself wanting Watching sidelines of deception A willing participant Will the end justify the means? I too know of this sadness Bleached of a colored shade White or grey vary with one’s one definition Of a closed heart hurting others passing by I slowly pass the time Wishing her by my side A presence of warmth Felt only for a brief while My feeling's for her Allready known Wanting more If only she could make that move (Tina, if only you knew the distance of being so close, yet so very far away, Steve) |

some of us are gluttons of punishment. we know the pain, but we still risk our hearts for just a moment in that eternity with the one we love |

Thanks Dixie and Kirstie, glutton for punishment? I'm not sure, the child support each month takes care of that, lol, Steve. |

Stephen, I hope things work out for you. This was a very honest, sensitive write. |
