the wind in the trees

I remember him in winter
mornings when I arise
the sky grey, the air cold
the whispers of years
gone by

you should say your
goodbyes now
nothing can touch or
change us back to
what we were

we could use the perfect
parting to remember
all the hours we held one another
all the loving words
when we were young

we could just continue
to be alive, like we were
the years we have left
before whatever happens,
happens

at the ritual moments
I'd show you,
you still belong to me
for the grace I allow
and the lessons of patience

September will bow
her head to the evening sky
spread her canvas evenly

giving way to the darkening
sky of winter

to leave us alone again
searching for the shore

I am one person.
I am a chorus of a thousand souls.

I found many layers to this poem and I enjoyed the discovery, especially enjoyed the changing of seasons.

Welcome to passions, you will have a great time here, sharing your life and times as we will share ours with you, this was a very touching to life poem, sadness feeds us all and is the easiest thing to write of, have a great time and see you soon again.
