Depth of Sigh

I sensed the murmurs of your heart
And longed to feel your soothing touch
I embraced those moments spent just apart
When feelings repressed began to clutch

Emotions freed with your depth of your sigh
As doubts rose up to quell the spark
We look on now and ponder why
And try to discern light from dark

I don’t question the right and wrong
And know this adore it should not start
You know well my heart and hear its song
So never doubt you’ve left your mark

The time will come when it’s all beyond
And you’ll put it down to just a lark
You’ll reminisce and evoke a song
And perhaps recall the day you held my heart

"A spring shower was cause to run
Until you twirled me in the rain" ~ BDC
