“Danger - High Voltage”, the warning sign read; Yet with both bare hands I grasped at the core. Oh, I knew of the risks — let it be said — For I’ve been reduced to ashes before... But as the Phoenix — one must rise to fly On ethereal wings of hope and desire — For does not a tree reach toward the sky Though lightning may strike it with fire? She charges her heart to the fullest power And sets the beat of mine to her’s begin. For her flames I inhale and devour; The One who contains the fire within.
