{Emerald carpet-- that green
deep jade along the mire}

We should share the quiet
when the sky is blue
and oceans mirror back  white
clouds glow orange
as far as the eyes can see

You speak of butterflies,
how they bleed color
          fluttering in the horizon
shimmering gold tones
of xanadu--
of some other occasion
when once the world was still

   Rearrange the shadows with me
between flowers & fragments of sun
the windows will share   shades  of green

even after rain--

You the seed,       darkened by desire
inside early flesh of midnight
in stillness remain     realm of light
upon the waters surface
as I await --

respirez cet air my
toile foncée -- verdissez ce vert

lune

When I read you, I often think to myself "grace"...

(That puts you in the same category as Martie and Cpat, as well as a few others I am more than likely forgetting momentarily)

This time, I thought, "amazing grace".
