I remind me of Charlie Brown
standing in the pumpkin patch
waiting - patiently

Where are you Great Pumpkin?

Just a cartoon, yet a keeper
on nights like these
when I recall

Just what happened to my heart
that Fall -

The Fall of 00'
when I was sure love was
just an illusion,

Just another Copperfield trick
to tickle the senses
of those that beleived
in magic appearing airplanes

I never did ya know
never believed for a minute

That Charlie would actually see
the Great Pumpkin

or David - could turn air into
giant steel flying machines

I was proven wrong
I'm not to proud to admit
I found my 'illusion'
to be whole, and real
and touchable

Oh yes, a material
element that I could touch

Then I knew - through you
and I wanted to say
with my loudest voice

"It's not hopeless Charlie Brown,
the Great Pumpkin - it's around!"

"Hey David - extend the show!"

In the fall -
among the beleivers of
giant pumpkins, and
steel birds
behind curtains

There -

I found you

-Another anniversary of the heart- First date with hubby on October 13th 2000 at 8:15am (we were 3rd shifters) and exactly 4 years later we welcomed our daughter into the world at 8:19am on October 13th - If that aint magic nothing is !!
