After the summer sun and two lovers so in love winter creeps unbidden into the folds of soul and there from the roof like a stalactite hang the frozen droplets of ardour ’s happiness. From the bottom and beneath this out of reach mortal dream the stalagmite of passion rises from the core innocent and unaware that life is but a cave and the ice of no release it’s only resting place … yet still it grows and grows seeking so to touch ardour’s last remains. In the need of both to be joined and yet still free a silent witness, me from the sidelines of belief cries in tandem with this outreach of soul till I myself a replica shiver in the cold. Frozen so I hang, in need I battle on, and face the wrath of winter fortified and strong … and that’s the way it should be but not the way it is! Helen / 1 July 2005 |

Thanks LeeJ and Bodger for the read. I do appreciate your kind comments. Yes, life is a cave - a "cave not made by man" (quoted from a good friend). |
