Suddenly The sun reached out across the valley we stood on the the ridge holding hands sharing secrets that dangerously fell from our lips Bonded, as the sunrise witnessed our nakedness Never have I believed in innocense the way I trusted in it then Never did I experience the joy of intimacy the way I did then You did not know of the apple and I knew of no such temptation You locked your eyes onto mine and the heat of the sun wrapped us in a blanket of yellow We were given all that the earth had to give We had no promises to break and then suddenly, we grew up... |
