The Greatest Pretender You should be given top marks Being so good at what you do You have perfected the skill Of breaking hearts in two Leaving the trails of destruction That you never return to mend Forgetting about the broken Yet called yourself a friend Its the game you play with ease So clever at putting on the act Yet so good at hiding away Still afraid of facing the fact Confrontation you so aptly avoid Leaving lonely hearts to dwell Craftily departing ever silently You do play the part so well Award for deciet should be given For your many well crafted lies Greatest pretender of them all You're the master of disguise Hope ©2005 With graphic and music below http://www.thestarlitecafe.com/poems/91/poem_752894.html |
