I laughed when you called me complicated... after almost two years of not understanding you, and the reasons behind your rhyme somehow you had deemed me as being "complicated"... and I still don't understand, but perhaps some things aren't meant to be understood, or explained, life is what it is, and we can only gain. The laughter doesn't sound alone anymore not since the minute you walked back in the door, and suddenly it felt like it was back then before "I just called to say I love you" became our favorite song I missed you so much even though you did wrong... my love did not stop, nor did it fade, I believed, even when you said that I shouldn't, but quit loving you? I knew that I couldn't. I heard an old saying, I've learned that it's true "you have to set it free, before it can come back to you" So I set you free, but held you near to my heart allowing myself to be torn apart. Oh yes, it hurt, I admit it's true; but I held to my faith in God and in you... each time makes me stronger... but after the fall.... we get back up and move on, because the past is the past and there is no tomorrow if remaining in still waters while the river flows on... {from the ramble journals} {Chances come and when they're gone They curse the fools who wait too long So let's take care of what we have Before the good we know goes bad And the beauty fades and just slips away The dirty air, the dying seas Will this be the world we leave To the wild and young I say, just look at what we've done And right before our eyes Today's yesterday Could be tomorrow's goodbye} (Skynyrd) [This message has been edited by Gentle Spirit (06-21-2005 09:45 AM).] |

HOLY JESUS . . . you have read my mind. Donna, there are so many layers here I cannot even begin to pull them apart, but of course I will because I have a big mouth . . . The part about hanging on and hoping and never really saying goodbye? That part . . . whoever made up that saying about letting something go should be punched in the head . . . This is beyond anything I could ever wish to compose. |
