Life’s Haunt

I would begin in Shakespearean tone,
that in
These times, when in the ragged mountains
of doubt, [Shakespeare shakes his head, and leaves]

I continue…

though even when ice blocked thoughts melt slowly
into summer’s clime, it is only then, when
echoing begins reflection of shadows
of what we were told,
just so, and it is then,

In the crevice of foreboding [that] the levers thicken,

where pain and pleasure
sit side, by side.

The flat of a button’s lip
might wait for some finger’s tip
to     either     glide     smoothly
or press hard,
perhaps even sharply nailed,
before a decision          slowly          made,

[mindlessly, or…]

would then slip those words
into some form of light,
before transferred onto some other world…
[fulfilling a desire]

to hide,
or beam,
in dishonor,
or pride.

Echoes, these are, bearing deep upon me.

I fear they mirror the
errors of my ways…
some long haunting cry begins to beg deep…

In
the
crevice of
foreboding…
levers
thicken

and then, when I look down,
at the crevice that one could, should and would have,
it is then the soul heeds to the gone
though their shadowed need
still comes to succor, and

Bleedingly,

Their cries will always haunt my soul.

For when memories crumble, all that is left… is

Tonight, when
fireflies
begin.

~*~

Yes, once again
with help from the muse

Glory Hallelujah this is good!

Your muse wasn't gone, she was saving up for a big one......

......or for two or three within one....

Enchanted by the images of this Kari,
It takes such patience to allow life to unfold...something I work at every day.

And reflections, this crisp and clear, can only show the way to something greater in the offing...

Hugs,
TD
