It is on her time she comes
When strokes of sun have left her wet and me
To wait for him to leave and an
Abandon of stars to gleam

Through the thin veils of her robes
Spread by winds that even she can not hold
In abatement it would seem
The world and mystery
Magic against the logic of trees and the spill
Of river over stone

I still dream

And peer towards horizon’s crest
As I listen for the sound of steps walking
The shadowed realms of far spaced land
Where in thunder clashed battle of sound
She stumbles round
        Bruised necks of water
Offspring begotten of her loins when too many words
Were scribed on hills
The ink ran

She will be here in time
As you and I were once in time
Some time lost in dust and the desiccated leavings
From the buds of rose loose of stems
a strip of fingers
Bourn now the scars of then
Seems unable to undo

When she comes and lightning begins
I’ll bleed along the sinews of sleep
Wondering how the ply of inner thigh leads me
To the way storms build

Some clouds fly

Yet I am not the sky and can not hold
In even the fleeting of her pass
A jealous moon’s eye view for too close
She constructs the loosely chimed rain
My hands have too many holes
To drink deeply as I will
When she cascades
And even cupped palms overfill

When she pours herself
                       Against pale flesh

She comes wet and slow

"The ink ran"

As did mine, Cap.

In the meantime, I'll read yours...

and not without envy.

Oh...gads...

sigh.

Now I see where I wish
my muse HAD gone...

and perhaps, she did...just that.

If she did come
to sit on your shoulder,
I know she is only
admiring the view of the pen's road...

You do poetry a magnificence
that has not been read
for some time...

you make me want to be a better writer.....this is a master piece!

I keep a fragrance bottle my
muse gave me when I met him
in endless winter and he
settled me into remembering
who I am.

Leaves me longing for something I can not explain..well done, as always.

Amazing...
it is not only pictures you bring us
with your imagery..
but you leave one feeling..
I mean, I really am feeling something
right now so intense
sorry..I am at a loss to explain
exactly what I feel,
but, I do know
I don't want it
to go
away.

Thank you Captain.

The duality here astounds me, something I have to work on in my own writing.
