birds will shelter there rocks saplings line the road that runs this knoll down there someone farms the valley god farms here or else merely watches it slip this side nothing but sand boulders trees all sand on the glass curve grain by grain going down here it is look mountains over there behind me sea something like a stream between business end of this one hourglass some day those peaks will make an island birds will shelter there going to the coast [This message has been edited by Ratleader (06-06-2005 12:35 AM).] |

Ed "those peaks will make an island birds will shelter there going to the coast" So much of life depends on adaptability. This is well done! |

beautiful use of form to enhance the message. The flow is evident, the devices effective. Wonderful piece of work. never try to teach a pig to sing |

How like life, to need the careful calibration of a sand clock, an instrument fine tuned and balanced.... yet able to contain dreams of art and breathing life with just a touch of imagination. Ah, I read too much into this, methinks, but enjoyed it well. |

I've known for a long while that you have an unequaled gift for capturing a moment... but you literally paint a scene between the fall of one grain of sand and the next... then give us hope for what might be... There is nothing simple about this except it's simply superb!!! |
