This side of moon whispers stories of where you lay your head I rapt myself around these aqueous dreams 'til clear the connection of heart to heart your sleepy sigh reaches my lips bitter sweet enters my soul and quakes it's depths with a groan akin to rusted hull prone against jut of rock this is the way it has been with me a stranding of soul buried in darkness awaiting rescue light may pass overhead but I am too weak to wave or even blink for notice I lie here against these stones of my bed and watch as time traces an epitaph to what we were for what is begs like me mouthed words in call are silenced by rushing waters for I'd traded iridescent tale for wings gossamer a reminder why I am drowned and you barely hear songs of this once upon a time mermaid above moon smiles upon you for me tells me how your eyes shimmer against midnight that your lips still await warmth promised though oft you project with smoked glass and gestures all is well moon, send my tears those not washed away in darkness one or two diamonds fading with the kiss of mourning upon your pillow they must rest each night beside your precious head a symbol of love unrequited a hope for... this side of moon ~tier  |
