Silk Lady (Enchanting Lake)

Silk Lady (Enchanting lake)
part 1 only

Many moons have cycled since
I first met the Silk Lady.
Mysteriously she came into
my life and in the same way
departed into the night.
Oh, I searched for her
in the hot sun and in
the tropical rains, but
no one knew of her exact
location, and none knew
the fullness of her name.
But, on my seventh trip to
Bangkok you could say my hope
was starting to jell, when I
chanced upon a painting in the
confines of the Royal Luxor Hotel.
I froze in my tracks as I entered
the Smooth Time cocktail lounge,
for upon the painting behind the bar,
the silk lady was staring down.
To my joy, it was signed by a local artist
know as "CK", a person nobody knew
too much about, much to my dismay.
There were a few clues or rumors making
there way around, perhaps CK had
a studio over on the far side of town,
down by the river, close to a lovely
enchanted lake, way off the main road,
in a hard to find mysterious place.

I froze in my tracks

This happened to me many years ago in a gallery in Zurich ... I saw "someone" smiling to me from the wall and was deeply touched. Couldn't buy it then though!
